Specifying General Information about Cars
To add information about a new car,
On the Self-operated products menu, click Cars.
On the Cars page, click Create. The New car rent page appears.
On the New car rent page, specify the following information:
Car name: enter the name of a new car.
Supplier: select a supplier that offers a product.
Transactions currency: specify the currency for settlements with suppliers. The currency that you select will be also used for setting price-lists, discounts, etc.
Rental office: select rental offices where a car is available. For more information on rental offices, please click Managing rental offices for selfoperated car products.
Short description: add general information about the car. This description will be displayed on the search results page.
Description: add detailed information about the car. This description will be displayed in the window with the detailed description of the car hire product.
Picture: add a photo of the vehicle. The picture that you add in this section is displayed in the car rent search results.
To upload a picture from your PC, use the Upload file form. Click Add, browse to the required picture, click Open, and then click Upload.
To upload a picture from an external web-source, use the Upload via link form. Locate mouse pointer into the bar, enter the required weblink, and click Upload.
4. Click Save.
Managing Rental Offices
If you have several rental offices, you can restrict the availability of cars at some of the offices.
To create a rental office,
On the Suppliers menu, click Suppliers.
Open the profile of the required supplier - the supplier who provides the car hire service and who is selected in the car hire product contract.
For example, assume the car service is provided by the HERTZ supplier. On the Suppliers page, search for the HERTZ supplier and click it. The Supplier page appears.On the Supplier page, go to the Offices tab.
On the Offices tab, click Create. The Create new office window appears.
In the window, fill in the required information. The fields to be filled in mandatory are marked with an asterisk (*). Among other please pay attention to the following fields:
Type: from the drop-down select either place in the city or airport. Depending on the selected item, the subsequent fields will be either Street and Postal code, Airport or Accomodation.
Map: after you enter the office location or select an airport from the dropdown, click Map to see the location on the map. The address date are automatically processed and the location on the map is shown.
Latitude, Longitude: to see the location on the map or to correct the location, you can type either the office address or coordinates. Locate mouse pointer into the Latitude and Longitude boxes and enter the office location coordinates.
Click Save. The created office is displayed in the list of supplier's offices
Let us assume that the car service supplier posses the following offices:
It is the offices depicted in the figure above that are available for selection in the car hire contract.
To specify the offices where the car hire product is available,
Open the profile of the required car hire product.
On the Information tab, in the Contract group, operate in the Car can be picked up at the following rental offices section:
To make a car hire product available at all the supplier offices, click all.
To restrict the set of office where a car hire product is available, click selected only. The additional Add button appears.
Click Add. The Select car rental office window appears:
In the window, select the offices of your choice and click Add. The selected rental offices are added to the car hire contract.
Click Save.
Creating Tips (Internal Notes for documents)
For more convenient work with tips in reservations, Internal notes for products are shown in reservations on the service level.
This feature is available only if "Tips and notes" module is turned on.
User can specify whether it should appear within:
Invoice
Quotation
